This division is responsible mainly for safety of navigation, navigational warnings and the promulgation of notices to mariners and preparation of all the nautical publications, as a complement to the charts, which every sea going ship must have.

• Studying and scrutinisation of the position and attributes of aids that will be established, replaced or removed for navigation safety and facility
  
  
• Promulgation of all sorts of navigational information to the mariners for maintaining the safety of live and property at seas.
  
  
• Announcement of navigational aids that are established, replaced or removed for navigation safety and facility, to the mariners.
  
  
• Repairment of magnetic compasses, barometers and hygrometers of vessels which belong to Naval Forces and the Coast Guard.
   
• Updating nautical publications, regulations and contracts.
   
• Keeping nautical charts up to date.
